Hello Everybody,

I pray that everything is going well and that you are enjoying this beautiful day after the crazy storm that we had early this morning. I pray that everyone is safe from that.

I have some exciting, but not as excepted updates for our main parking lot in front of the Church. As you might remember about a year ago Fr. Linh told you that we would be putting asphalt down on the parking lot. That plan got shut down and we needed to go to Montgomery County for permits, which we submitted plans and then they said we need to talk with the State, TXDOT, and we submitted plans to them and after much back and forth and those plans would have cost us $800,000-$1,000,000 because of all the requirements that TXDOT requires us to do with drainage and retention pond for the parking lot. Of course, that is completely out of our price range.

I would have loved to put either concrete or asphalt, but with the requirements to get that done there would be no way that we can afford that. So, we are going with the next best solution which is small white gravel that can be compacted to give us the best surface we can get that would allow water to flow to the ground.

With this update in plan, the construction company we have been working with can start preparing the parking lot and laying the gravel tomorrow Wednesday March 23rd and they said they should be finished by end of day Thursday, but of course there could be a delay. This would mean that we cannot use the main parking lot at that time. So please use the back parking lot for Mass and any other meeting you might have for Wednesday and most of the day on Thursday.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we try to work this out. Now we will have a better and safer parking lot than we have now. Let us give thanks to God for all this!
